PHOTO ARCHIVE OF LT COL ATLEE G MANTHOS USAF

Pappy flew mustangs for the 357th Fighter Group in Leiston England during World War II. The folders below contain more than 60 aircraft related images, most of which are scans of color slides he took between 1941 and 1949. The slides lay quietly dormant in trays for more 60 years until his sons were asked to provide information about him for a book about Greek pilots who flew fighters in foreign armies. It seemed like time to scan those babies into a format suitable for digital display. There has been enough interest in key images by individuals with particular interests that my brother and I have elected to make them all available for enthusiasts in general. Don't get too excited, nearly all are pre or postwar and quite mundane, but among them are what have proved to be some real treasures. They are all copyrighted but feel free to share them for personal interest as long as they are accompanied by suitable attribution and not used for commercial purposes. We know we are coming very late to the party, but maybe it's not too late to have some fun. Enjoy.
